Wear Formal Apparels in a Beach Wedding

Wedding bells are in the air. Summer is the best season for young and old couples to get married because of the romantic atmosphere – warm summer breeze partnered with sunshine. As this implies, majority of these marriage-bound pairs would definitely go for a beach wedding theme, as opposed to a church or garden wedding, as the lax and dreamy ambiance of the beach will make the wedding more upbeat and enjoyable. However, some of these couples would still like to uphold a sense of formality for this sacred ceremony. Although wearing men’s formal suit or formal wear for women to a beach does not exactly mesh, it is still something you must consider when the couples require you to look a bit dressier.

Wearing something formal on a beach wedding can be tough and complicated, but it’s not impossible. You only have to choose some key pieces for you to pull a formal look without looking too over or underdressed at the same time. One thing you must remember though is that dressing up during a beach wedding can be a bit challenging. So do consider if the clothes you’re going to wear can withstand natural elements.

Now, when thinking about what to wear in a formal beach wedding you must take into account how formal the couples want their wedding to be. Most probably they only want their guests to wear something more glamorous as opposed to them wearing shorts and a shirt. So, better ask the couples first of how they want you to look before further contemplating on what to wear.

Formal wear for women during a beach wedding is fairly simple because of the vast choices made available. But, one must remember to pick something light, simple and elegant to wear so as to avoid any mishaps. The reason for this is related to the location of the event. Since people are more exposed to the sun, everyone is expected to get sweaty. If you don’t wear the appropriate clothes, there is a big tendency that you will dread the whole wedding day. High heels are also not advisable since you’re going to walk on sand. However, if you wish to wear your heels, then you can do before and after the ceremony on the beach. This way you can walk properly on the sand without ruining your heels at the same time.

Men clothing, on the other hand, can be quite tricky. However, it is highly advisable for them to buy clothes that are breathable. Light linen fabrics are a good choice for a dressy top to minimize too much sweating on a hot summer day. You can pair this with a drawstring pants to make it look more formal. Although, wearing a suit vest can also be a good formal look, you can expect it to be a bit uncomfortable especially when exposed to a humid environment. When it comes to shoes, wearing beach sandals are not appropriate. You can either wear a closed shoe or go barefoot if you want to get into the beach theme.

Summer truly is a romantic season to have a wedding. Who can ask for more if you have the perfect weather, a romantic setting and the love of your life with you?  The formal wear of guests or even the couples for that matter are not that important during weddings. What really matter most is the sentiment of the occasion – which is to bear witness to the religious union of two people in love.
